WFFP Participates in the RAG A&P Meeting to Assess SSF Guidelines Implementation

The World Forum of Fisher People (WFFP) actively participated in the RAG A&P Meeting, held from March 23-25, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. This three-day face-to-face session brought together key stakeholders to assess the implementation of the Small-Scale Fisheries (SSF) Guidelines, strengthening efforts toward sustainable and equitable fisheries governance.

The WFFP team at the event included Azril Omar from Malaysia, Ravadee Presercharusounk from Thailand, Syeda Yasmeen Ali Shah from Pakistan, Herman Kumara Wijethunge, the General Secretary of WFFP from Sri Lanka, Sanat Kumar Bowmic from Bangladesh, and Suman Kalyan from India, who all stood together representing their respective nations. Seated in the front row were Vanutron Jit from Thailand, Stefano Mori from Italy, and Pablos Gonsales from the Philippines. Their collective participation underscored WFFP’s dedication to advocating for small-scale fisheries and strengthening regional collaboration.
