Webinar Series on Customary Governance, Tenure, and Traditional Rights of Fisher Peoples Successfully Kicks Off

The first day of the much-anticipated global webinar series titled Customary Governance, Tenure, and Traditional Rights of Fisher Peoples successfully concluded on 9th September. The event, organized by the Asia Pacific Continental Fora (WFFP) and Coastal Action Network (CAN), gathered experts, fisher communities, and organizations from across Asia to engage in insightful discussions about the importance of safeguarding the rights of fisherfolk.

The webinar, held virtually, was accessible across different time zones, allowing participants from India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia to join the conversation. Starting at 9:30 am IST (India), the session ran for three hours and saw vibrant discussions, collaborations, and experiences shared among key stakeholders.
