Three leaders of World Forum of Fisher Peoples – WFFP WFFP attended a training program at Sao Paolo, Brazil which was facilitated in collaboration with LVC, WMW, FoEI, FIAN International, TNI, WH, GI, and WFFP.
The program focused attention on Human Rights Violations and the challenges faced by Human Rights Defenders all over the world. The killings, disappearances, forced abductions, Smear campaigns, arrests, detentions, and much more harassment experienced by HRDs and the need for a collective effort to face the challenges.
Josana Pinto of MPP Brazil and the Continental representative of Caribbean and Latin America was among the speakers at the program and said, “We are SSF in the world need more attention from our Comrades as we are the most vulnerable communities among other food producers in the world.”
